Nell has a particular interest and expertise in working with individuals, couples, and families coping with issues related to chronic and terminal illness, infertility and pregnancy loss, and the grieving of a loved one. She is a member of the Ackerman Center for Families and Health where she sees couples and families struggling with issues related to illness and loss.

Prior to her work at Ackerman, she founded the infertility and pregnancy loss support program at the YinOva Center, an integrative health center in Manhattan. She began her career working in a hospital setting in the intensive care unit with chronically and critically ill patients and their families.
